Is That Gift Game fun to play?

Yep! Ask anyone who has :) This game started at our first annual mom-daughter Christmas party. We did a white elephant gift exchange, and it was fun, but the moms felt a little bit bad stealing presents from our girls. Especially when they all wanted the same one. They were fine with it. They were having fun, but we wanted a better way.

So we made it a real game. The rules are on the cards. On your turn you play one and do what it says: trade, open, steal or pass a gift. There are no numbers to draw, no sitting around waiting for your turn, and nobody has to say “that’s not how we play it.”

That’s what makes it fun. You do something on every turn, and the card picks who trades with whom, so taking a gift is never your fault. The quiet ones get pulled in without being put on the spot. Grandparents and grandkids play the same game, and your gift exchange turns into part of the party.

So good it was stolen from me twice!!!
I’ve played this a few times now and everyone loves it. Someone asked to borrow it, so I lent it out and never got it back! I bought another one, because I wanted to play with another group (we played last night!) and a friend from that group is borrowing it. I don’t think I’ll get it back this time either!
